Dogecoin Developer Issues Important Security Warning to Dogecoin Holders

[ad_1]

Dogecoin (DOGE) developers urge users to be very cautious when withdrawing money from Dogechain.

On November 6, Dogecoin core developer Mishaboar suddenly issued important security information to all DOGE token holders.

Specifically, the developer raised the alarm about an email encouraging users to withdraw funds from the “Dogechain dot info” website (Dogechain.com). Mishaboar emphasized that DOGE holders should enter the “Dogechain dot message” directly into their web browser rather than clicking on a link in an email. This is an important step in protecting against phishing attempts.

Previously, many users also encountered wallet problems due to losing 2FA authentication. If this is the case, users can seek help from the website developer, who may require legal documentation to disable 2FA authentication as long as additional credentials are present.

Additionally, Mishaboar recommended that users keep their assets in self-managed wallets, emphasizing the need to back up keys multiple times as well as store mnemonic phrases offline.

He recommended only keeping small amounts of funds in hot wallets and encouraged new users to be cautious when dealing with smart contracts, including NFTs.

Finally, the developers of Dogecoin reminded users to withdraw funds from exchanges, emphasizing the importance of maintaining control and security of their crypto assets.
